Carnival Specials
From 15 to 17 February, the kitchen of the Averau Refuge will tempt you with a dedicated menu and a selection of typical Carnival desserts!
- Millefeuille of savory chiacchiere, arctic char, guacamole and pomegranate
- Cjalsons, ravioli typical of Carnia, made with potato dough, stuffed with ricotta and figs, served with parmesan cheese, cinnamon and melted butter
- Apple fritters with cranberry jam (fried at the moment)
And for those who love the most authentic traditions, at the bar you will also find the Carafoi, a poor and ancient dessert of the Dolomites: thin fried sheets, woven like ribbons and sprinkled with sugar, once prepared in mountain houses during the Carnival period.
