Two days with Astronomitaly
At an altitude of 2,416 meters at the Averau refuge you can observe the sky and its stars in collaboration with the Astronomitaly company, which has recognized the Averau panoramic terrace with the GOLD certification of “The most beautiful skies in Italy”.
Two professionals equipped with telescopes will be available to those who want to scan the sky to discover the beauty of our satellite: the Moon.
A major astronomical event with observation of stars and planets, in particular deep-sky objects, such as the stars Vega, Deneb in Altair, double stars such as Mizar and Albireo, the Hercules cluster and other objects that will be evaluated on site.
- Transport is done from 6:30 pm (based on the booking agreement) from Cianzopè. About 1.5 km before the 5 Torri chairlift, going up from Cortina along the road 48 of the Dolomites that leads to the Falzarego pass.
- The cost of transport is € 30.00 per person round trip.
- Dinner is à la carte and the cover charge will be € 15.00 and includes, explanation and observation through the telescope.
- Stargazing starts at 8:30 pm
In addition , on Saturday 25 July it will be possible to observe the sun with 2 professionals equipped with a solar telescope and with a second telescope with a special Astrosolar certified filter. It will be possible to observe the sunspot cycle, sunspots, phacolae, prominences and photospheric granulation. Observations will be possible from 12:00 to 16:00 weather permitting. A contribution of € 5.00 per person will be required.
