ERRI DE LUCA – Speech for a friend
Sunday 12 July at the Averau Refuge with CortinAteatro and A Mountain of Books
The Averau Refuge hosts the presentation of the book “Speech for a friend“. The author Erri De Luca talks for the occasion with the journalist Francesco Chiamulera. The meeting also includes an exciting musical interlude with violins by the Na Fuoia group.
The volume was created as a eulogy for Diego Zanesco, esteemed mountain guide and historical customer of the refuge, who passed away on the Tofana di Rozes. The work expands on the words spoken at the funeral. It is thus transformed into an intimate story that combines the passion for the mountains with the depth of human relationships. The book also includes the private notebooks of Diego’s climbs, entrusted to Erri De Luca by the wife of the deceased.
