Night of stars and sun observation with Astronomitaly
Moon, stars and Saturn big stars during the peak of the Perseids, the Tears of St. Lawrence Great astronomical event with star and planet observation tagged Astronomitaly, in collaboration with the Averau Refuge: August 12 and 13, 2024, double telescope observation to coincide with the seasonal peak of the magnificent Perseids, the Tears of St. Lawrence. At an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level and one of the most beautiful skies in Italy, we will open the astronomical year 2024 in terms of events with this double event straddling Cortina and Falzarego Pass.

MONDAY, AUGUST 12
8:00 p.m. – Astronomical observation of the night sky: stars, star clusters and visible planets (we will try to see Saturn, eastbound, after about 10:30 p.m.). Nose up for the search of the legendary Perseids, the Tears of St. Lawrence. -
TUESDAY, AUGUST 13
09:30/17:00 – Sun observation with solar telescope and with second telescope with special filter;
8 pm – Astronomical observation of the night sky: stars, star clusters and visible planets, new search for Perseid shooting stars.

- 7 p.m. Shuttle service from Cianzopè (€15 round trip per person);
- For those who reach the Shelter on foot, the meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Shelter itself;
- A la carte dinner;
- Cost to use the telescopes is €15;
