Climbing and via ferrata routes<\/h3>\n

The Averau refuge is a starting and support point for many climbing ascents and via ferrata routes<\/strong>, of all degrees of difficulty<\/strong>. Classic are the Ferrata Averau<\/strong><\/a> and the Ferrata de Ra Gusela<\/strong><\/a>, quite easy and very scenic. Climbers can try their hand at the climbing routes of Mount Averau, the large open-air gym of 5 Torri<\/strong><\/a>and the new rock climbing wall Averau Sud \u201cRen\u00e8 De Pol\u201d palestra Averau sud – Renato De Pol Ren\u00e8<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To experience the mountain safely, Rifugio Averau has an agreement with the Alpine Guides of Cortina d’Ampezzo<\/strong><\/a>, who offer specific itineraries and many other activities.<\/p>\n

Bike and MTB<\/h3>\n

Lots of routes with different levels<\/strong><\/a> of difficulty for two-wheels lovers. The lifts are equipped to transport bikes<\/strong>, and the Averau Refuge provides a compressor<\/strong>, water hose<\/strong>, tools<\/strong> for minor repairs, and an e-bike<\/strong> charging system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Alta Via no. 1<\/h3>\n

The Alta Via No.1, known as“the classic”,<\/strong>crosses the imposing peaks of the Dolomites starting from Lake Braies,<\/strong>in the province of Bolzano, to Belluno, along a route of about 150 kilometers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The route starts from the Dolomites of Braies and crosses the \u201cStrada delle Dolomiti\u201d overlooking the valley of Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo from above, near the 5 Torri<\/strong> and the Nuvolau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Transalp<\/h3>\n

The hut is a stop or refreshment point for all various routes of the mountain-bike Transalp Dolomiti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the most classic route, the stage starts from the Sennes, Fanes and Braies<\/strong> Natural Park and winds under the Tofane.<\/strong> Arriving in Cianzop\u00e8<\/strong>, the route begins to climb on a rather demanding climb in the shadow of 5 Torri<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Great War<\/h3>\n

During the First World War<\/strong>, the 5 Torri<\/strong>area proved to be strategic for the operations of the Italian Army<\/strong>, trying to penetrate into Val Badia.<\/p>\n

In this area the events of that sad period can still be experienced, among paths, trenches and the Open Air Museum of the Great War<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
